Mr. Stephen Copeland is an amazing tour guide. He is warm, friendly, and approachable and listens to what you want to see. He took us to some points on Big Sur that are not even listed in tour books such as the highest point by a monastery. He took his time and we never felt rushed and he was very... More

We were fortunate to be introduced to Big Sur Guides and Hiking. We spent two days with Lesli trekking and visiting so many great spots. Having Lesli made it sensational. She took us to areas that we wouldn't have gone to by ourselves and has a great knowledge of the area that she wants to impart. She really cares about... More

Excellent hike with Greg. He showed me some of Big Sur's must sees and shared with me his knowledge of the natural landscape and other local facts. A really enjoyable way to see this part of the Pacific Coast!

We met Steve Copeland in 2014 on our first visit to Ventana Inn and Big Sur, and he took us on a wonderful hike around the Inn's amazing grounds. This year, we went on a private hike with Steve to some secret spots, beautiful hiking, stories and history! He is a treasure.

We did the "Big Sur" route - starting from Monterey and drove South to Hearst Castle in July 15 and it took us took 7 hrs. This included: - 1hr breakfast stop at the wonderful River Inn - real traditional place with lovely fireplace, outside deck area, fire pit outside, and wooden seats placed in the river so you can... My wife and I did a hike with Greg several months ago and it was worth every cent. We met at the Ventana Inn and after a short drive we stopped for a hike through the Redwoods to some waterfalls. Greg was a very knowledgeable guide who pointed out all of the interesting local Flora and Fauna along the hike.... More

Like other's have said, this is simply beautiful. Take as much time as you can to really enjoy the sights and sounds on offer. We had lunch at Nepenthe, which was busy but worthwhile, and we sat and stared at the magnificent views from the restaurant for a couple hours. There is so much to see and do, a review... More

It occurred to me while watching the elephant seals that those guys know how to rest! In our three day trip around the Big Sur area I just felt so strongly that the most precious thing we have is time. I saw many, many people rushing in and out of there cars on the coastal highway and honestly, I was... More

While exploring the coastline we decided to go for a hike at Andrew Molera park. Wow! Views were absolutely spectacular! Bring your bathing suit as there's a swimming spot, sunscreen, camera. The path at the far right of the parking lot forks, allowing you to go up on the mountain or straight to the swimming hole.
