One of the greatest place I have ever seen

In my opinion it is one of top 10 in the world! After this you can count other two Norwegian places Kjerag and Troll tongue). I have lived there 6 years (from 2010 - 2016) and... read more

In my opinion it is one of top 10 in the world! After this you can count other two Norwegian places Kjerag and Troll tongue). I have lived there 6 years (from 2010 - 2016) and been there 8 times already. I love hiking so every time I wanted to hike I usually did not miss hike to the Pulpit... More

This was my first hike in Norway back in 2016. It is fairly short and gradual inclines and declines. With a 25lb pack (drone inside), it took me about 2 hours to get to the top. There are numerous places to camp along the way, as well as some places to get fresh water (would advise a filter though). I... More

This is a great short hike suitable for everyone! The path is clearly visible and marked with poles every 50 meters. Start as early as possible cause it gets very crowded. When you get there you can climb a little bit higher to experience a view over Pulpit Rock from above. Even though this is not like Kjerag where there... More

I am that kind of person who doesnt exercise at all.So in the beginning I was kind of slow.I couldnt run up with others even then I managed to get on to the top.... More

We went on a guided hike to Pulpit Rock last week and the nature and views are stunning! I highly recommend visiting this place, and even with an average fysical condition this is doable. Circumstances were good, we had some fog on the top but that flew over quickly.

Beautiful location. A short walk takes you to this amazing site! Beautiful views from the top, also seen from the fjord the next day. Well worth the trip!

Not going to lie. This hike kicked butt for two old-timers. The main difficulties were our age, the crowds, weather (drizzle), terrain and time crunch. This hike was part of a RCL cruise excursion from Stavanger (port about 1 hour away). Few ships are in port long enough for this excursion and it was a primary reason for choosing this... More

In my opinion it is one of top 3 Norvegian places (together with Kjerag and Troll tongue). Definitely must if You are around Stavanger. You can get here by public transport or own car. Parking is near the hotel and the 40-70 minutes walk one way. On the way there are lots of places to rest, but keep in mind... More

The whole hike featured beautiful views, but the view from the top was absolutely unreal. Wear proper hiking boots because the terrain is uneven. Looking at the distance and estimated time to the top, I unwisely wore soft-soled shoes. The trails were wet from earlier rains and between the rough terrain and the water soaking into my shoes, I ended... More

The hike up the rock is cool and doable for almost everyone. After arriving at the top of the rock you will be amazed by one of the best views in Norway!
