Met with a warm welcome by helpful and friendly staff. Set on our way with a minimum of fuss, onto a golf course that was in very good condition considering the water conditions in Cape Town at the time. Greens ran true and well, with...More
Established in 1885, the club house has a nice feel to it.
The course is interesting enough, most fairways are tree lined and there is a reasonable variety of holes, some with the lovely mountain backdrop.

Greens are running good, fairways are nice, and the staff are incredibly lovely. There is more of a 'chilled out' vibe compared to some other golf clubs around the world. Green fees for visitors are reasonable.
Love this Course, friendly admission and pro shop staff, small pro shop but still there were shirts on offer to purchase at good prices. Half way house and Club house serving staff were great, friendly and attentive.

We spent 3 weeks playing golf from Cape Town to PE.
This was the worst course we played. Layout outdated, fairways substandard. Very flat and uninteresting.
Club house worn.
Close to CT and "Royal" we thought this was high class.
A no-no. Play Clovelly!
We took our parent out for lunch on Saturday, beautiful day, beautiful venue! We had the rump steaks and Darling Wine, WOW the food was absolutely divine! Service was fantastic as well, and we got to watch the golfer try for the hole in one...More
Visited this course this morning to discuss some business and enjoy a round of golf. Unfortunately I was treated to the worst reception that I have ever had at any club in the world from the guy in the pro shop.

The restaurant is situated on the golf course with a lovely view. It still has the original wood paneling and beams. Tables were neatly decked in white with glassware and cutlery. We were immediately attended to by our waiter who was prompt and polite throughout...More
The oldest golf course in South Africa, and one of the best. It's well located, within a 20 minute drive of Cape Town CBD. It's a relatively flat parkland golf course with some great holes and stunning views. Some of the fairways were affected by...More
A very friendly welcome by all the staff at Royal Cape. The course is very fair and the condition reflects the current weather situation in Cape Town. The greens are in good shape and very true. The half-way house and clubhouse offer lovely and good...More
