Quite a boring display of old uniforms, films that play throughout the museum projected upon the walls, which means that you cannot escape watching or listening to them. Staff that tell you the entrance is free then ask you for a donation making you feel obligated...More

An excellent day out. Huge array of artefacts on display and a very informative and comprehensive timeline of contemporary war. I would have happily paid an entry fee for this free entry attraction, so was glad to be able to leave a donation. Very impressive...More

Took my 2 boys. It's interesting and informative with the exhibits being accessible to all ages. They have veterans you can chat to. My son was particularly awestruck by the gent who flew in Lancaster bombers.

I made a return visit last week, this time with a friend who has little interest in museum's. We both enjoyed our visit, others may critic the lack of detail, but to my mind IWM offers a more human perspective on war that could spark...More
