This was a pretty area and lake to see. I didn't go to swim and not sure how clean it is, but it's a nice experience. I went down and got fresh coconut water from whole coconuts, got a snack of some freshly fried fish and enjoyed seeing the locals. We headed over to the restaurant later to have lunch... More

Improved since our last visit several years ago. Now has motorised boat rides with life jackets and shade on board. Lots of food and drinks stalls and was busy when we got there on a weekday. Tour guide office gives a brief talk about the site which was helpful.

We stayed the night by the lake and although it was a detour to stay there it was well worth it. The lake is large with some 25,000 people living around it in small villages and fishing is the main activity. They fish with little plank like canoes and waking up early in the morning with mist around the hills... More

Stay, relax, eat, and lots to do at Cocoa Village, Lake Bosumtwi. Very clean rooms and excellent local and European dining. A hidden gem. Matevz and Tjasa perfect hosts.

Try the boat ride at sunset around 5:30pm even the 15 mins ride will be enough! I really enjoyed it and the skies were perfect. Just sad part of the lake had a brown foam on it :(

I loved the serenity and the story behind the lake. Intriguingly, are the old tree trumps in the lake. Had a boat ride over the lake with my buddies and horse ride round it. It was worth the long trip from Kumasi.

The lake is a beautiful view, and the shore is nice. The mountains around gives it a supernatural sight. There are resorts up the shore. There is more fun when you visit in big groups or on holidays, because a lot of people come from all around to enjoy. The food sold around is nice and ok. It is nice... More

A beautiful lake where you can actually go out in a boat and learn about this unusual place. Scenic drive and at the base of the lake you can visit a beautiful resort to dine lakeside and relax and learn local culture while you are there.
