A real big (hidden) beautiful surprise!
Oct 2019
This place is really a hidden gem! We weren't ready for what was revealed after the small walk from the parking lot - and through the small cave-bypass: a beautiful water caved / waterfall. However - we visited in October, and it was a very small stream. assuming the reason is that it's after the summer time, and no descent rain fed the river for a while. So recommending to try visiting during spring time, where hopefully the water fall will be fuller with water activity,as it would be beautiful to watch it!

Beatiful panorama's but dry river
Jul 2019
Very nice area in the Sierra, still pretty wild, but mid-summer the river was just a trickling rivlet. The walk is nice though, passing through the cave one arrives in a kind of secret garden. Not easy to find though, do not go to the houses/restaurant but follow the main road and after the parking space (for the convent) there is a side road to the right going down. Take water with you when at mid-day mid-summer...

Fun detour
Jul 2019 • Family
It’s a fun detour to see the cave. There’s a short walk through a very low dark cave to reach the waterfalls. When we went the waterfall was more of a dribble but I guess in autumn or winter it’s more of a cascade. It was a fun detour. The kids enjoyed it. The church above was closed but you could see into it through the bars. There was nowhere to eat or drink.

A spectacular drive to a wonderful bit of nature
May 2018 • Couples
We were staying in a vacation apartment / timeshare not too far away from this spot and decided it was worth a trip. We did not investigate how to get their too closely and ended up on a very mountainous, and very beautiful road. (There is another way that is less challenging but still beautiful.) The cave itself is beautiful - carved out of the mountains and with terrific views down to the hills and olive groves. There is a short tunnel to walk through to get to the cave - most people will need to stoop some to get through it. And there are some steep steps, but not too many. Highly recommended.

Nearby Sancturio, with its bar/restaurant is also worth visiting (open daytime only). Make sure you have a look in the lovely little chapel
It's a very windy road, but with spectacular views, well worth the drive

Spectacular
Jun 2017 • Family
The grotto was spectacular even without much water flow and the drive through the mountains was awe inspiring. Sadly the Sanctuary was closed as was the other nearby restaurant which is up for sale so take some drinks with you just in case.

Well worth the trip
Jul 2014 • Friends
Wonderful place to see some natural caves, would recommend a trip in spring when the water flow would be higher or after a period of rain. The drive over the mountain was very picturesque, wear comfortable shoes for the 150 plus steps down and then back up!
