I can't decide between Palenque and Chichén Itza. This place allows you to walk up in the ruins. The hieroglyphs on the walls makes up for all the walking on those stairs. One can appreciate such a historic site

Having visited several Mayan sites, to me Palenque is the best one. Set in a tropical type jungle, the temples and the un-excavated sites are stunning. You do need a good guide to understand all of it. There are the usual facilities: Toilets, bars, souvenir...More

Just go! Right now! Book a ticket and go. We loved, loved, loved our time here. The English speaking tours are expensive - $190 USD for 3 hours BUT it includes a guided tour into the jungle where only tour guides can take people. The...More

No, it's not. The tickets are actually bands that you tie on your wrist and they scan the bar code on the band. A bar code cannot be read twice by the scanner.

Well you get a bracelet at the entrance, and the restrooms are outside the park, I assume you can return later. Also, you have to consider that the park closes about 4:30 to 5:00 PM...

Hi, I am sorry. I can't help you with that. But as soon as you get there, you'll see a lot of guides. If you are going to visit Palenque, enjoy your trip and buy souvenirs inside the park. They're cheaper than outside. Have... More
