I didn't realize this would be such a huge waterfall, 35 meters high, cascading dramatically off a cliff into a large picturesque pool. You can just stop by the road and take pictures. But much better: wear non-slip shoes and follow the path up behind the waterfall. It's wet, be careful. Great views. At the end of the path is... More

Easy parking by the restraunt, gradual slpe down to the water fall and for those more nimble a chance to walk behind the fall itself. Although signs prohibit swimming several you bucks and their girls were taking advantage of the waters on that hot day. You should if in the area make the trip here. Decent well priced food at the... Gorgeous large waterfall. Great for swimming. But it's very deep. There is also a walk around the waterfall which we did not do as it looked slippery. About 30 mins from Palenque on bumpy roads!

There are many things to do around Paleque. Misol Ha is usually recommended by travel agencies but there is nothing great about this place. Its your basic, garden variety waterfall. The place is very crowded and travel buses don't wait long enough to get a cooling dip in the pool

The waterfall is interesting but unless you are intent on swimming in the plunge basin at the bottom of the fall I am not sure that it is worth a 2 hour or so round trip drive from Palenque. If you happen to be driving on the highway it would be worth your while to stop briefly. Once you get... More

The height of these Falls are really impressive. We went in the morning before the day got too hot. We enjoyed seeing them face to face and walking underneath them. they have a well prepared path to walk under the Falls. There are areas that are wet and a little slippery but a railing is available to hold. A must... More

We visited Misol- Ha two weeks ago and it was worth the trip! Absolutely loved this place. The scenery is impressive. You should wear non slippery water shoes if you want to walk behind the waterfall!

I just love this place and keep visiting it every time I am in Chiapas. Beautiful by itself? is hides a secret - a small cave with underground lake and waterfall - just pass behind the main waterfall following the stairs, which it quite an astonishing experience by itself, especially during the high waters season, and proceed to the cave... Very nice falls where one can swim in the pool at the base or walk around just to observe. A nice break on the road to Tonina.
