Stayed in presthaven caravan site and walked to this beach, there is also a car park to drive there. Huge beach with light house so fab for photos and the dogs loved it as well.

Overall good lady at pool let down
Oct 2021 • Family
Holiday ok caravan good but the lady on the poolside I found horrible and had a attitude towards the grand children me personally I don’t think she should be working with children unless it was a case were she didn’t like my grand children but I found her rood and not very accommodating did make a complaint to the guy in the poolside kiosk but he said I’d have to speak to her about it so I presume she must be in charge pool good only spoilt by her attitude

Ok but disgusted at public toilets. And No water to wash off feet.
Sep 2021 • Friends
Nice beach.
Excellent fish n chips.
The council (or whoever is responsible for the public toilets) need to visit and take in the stench of the toilets that haven't been properly cleaned for years.

How difficult can it be, Flintshire Council?

Also, what about outside taps/showers. The mud is sticky on the beach.

Disappointed

Watch out for oil!
Came here for photography as had seen a few photographers I follow post on Instagram. Don't go on the sand behind the lighthouse, I went up to my calf in oil! Also the sand is really deep and I cut my foot!

Great beach!

Flying visit en route home as we wanted to see a Lighthouse. Lovely beach though great for sandcastle building! The Lighthouse is cool too. Would definitely recommend a visit if nearby.

The major problem with Talacre Beach Resort is Hoseasons who are pretty useless and pretty pointless.

Check in and staff: we checked in around 5.30pm and just went to reception, was quick and easy. We were given a bit of information but only the activities for the weekend so didn't realise what the ones in the week were until too late to book. We found all the people working in the park to be very friendly

The Acccomdation: we stayed in the Foxtail. It was fairly clean (def not immaculate) and tidy. Adequate size for 2 adults and 2 small kids but would struggle with older kids. There was a lack of equipment provided. No baking trays, very limited cooking equipment in general and the main problem was no floor brush so by the end of the week the floors were pretty grotty.

The Park: lovely clean holiday park. Great main play area and another smaller one. 2 laundrettes which were great but a bit pricey at 4.10 for wash and 2.10 for dry. Shop is well stocked and a chippy was great. We didn't eat at the bistro but area looked nice. We did order food to our van twice and it was quick, tastey and good portion sizes.

Activities: we missed out on most activities as didn't get the info in time but also my 5 year old was too young for a lot of it. We did swim one day. We had to phone from 9 the day before which meant calling from the car while we were driving to Conwy and we were almost the whole way there before we got through. It was 45 min session which was enough for a 5 year old but probably frustrating for older kids. The pool was lovely, really warm and I can imagine it's a great facility in non-covid times.

Surrounding area: Talacre Beach itself is lovely. It's a bit of a walk and wouldn't be very accessible to disabled people. The beach could do with a really good litter pick though, lots of rubbish lying around but maybe because it was a busy day. There's a little road with a few arcades and shops near the beach. Telacre is well placed for exploring a lot of places like Rhyl, Conwy and even Liverpool, which we did as a day out.

General bad points: an ice cream van came around the park playing its music and parked right outside our van almost every night at 9.30pm and one night was almost 11pm!! Not ideal for a 2 and 5 year old in bed. Generally it felt like it was mainly older kids around 8-15.

Overall: we were pleasantly surprised overall having read recent reviews we were very worried what we would find. It was a pleasant little resort in a good location and in non-covid times I think it would be even better. I just don't understand the point of Hoseasons as they are just a booking agent and provide no information or assistance. They masquerade themselves as something like Haven but they abdicate all responsibility for anything once you've booked.

Beautiful beach
Jul 2021 • Couples
Called over the weekend whilst we was coming home. Never been before so didn't know what it was like. The sand was lovely, and stretched for miles. Lovely lighthouse. It was busy with families but plenty of space. There was amusement arcades, shops and eateries. All doing good business. We parked up in the overflow car park which was cheap. It cost us 20p for 2 hours. Would have liked to stay longer but had to get back home. Definitely calling again.

Excellent beach, clean and safe and lovely for children. There were lots of nice little eateries, shops and arcades there too. Parking was a bargain for the whole day too.

Beautiful Traditional Seaside Resort
Jul 2021 • Couples
Beautiful picturesque beach, totally unspoiled. Fabulous for couples, kids, family’s, dogs etc. A perfect all round day out. Gorgeous quaint seaside location, would definitely recommend and return in the future. The only downside is parking here
