This is an amazing place, which can be seen while you visit Neamt County, Romania. If you visit this place in summer it is a very good chance to take a picnic, or make a ride with boat.

It has a very picturesque landscape. If you visit Bicaz, you really must see this. It has a sunken forest under it. Never seen anything like this. Beautiful.

Stunning place. A great place for all of the family. God food and you kan do some shopping of local things. The road up to the lake is really something else, it runs up the mountain and is very steep at some points.

Such a wonderful place to visit in Romania! Stunning landscapes, especially when the lake is frozen, we walked on it very easily. It was a great experience! 5*.

As I understand, the lake was formed after a landslide blocked off the river. Tops of tree trunks may be seen in part of the lake. It's certainly scenic on the way. There are canoes and paddle boats available for rentals.

Rent one of those small boats, easy to take just the best photos from it, then it really worth to make a walking tour around the lake, a bit too touristic for sure but still...worth going there for an hour.

The Red Lake offers a wonderful view and the opportunity to travel by small boats. Often, you can see larger or tinier pieces of wood coming our of water so take care not to get stuck in between these. However, there are not so many...More

Hi. Unfortunately, there isn't any public transportation from Gheorgheni (Gyergyószentmiklós) to Red Lake. But you can take any bus from the city center, (which destination is Neamt, Bacau, Suceava) - it will stop at the lake
