Enjoy a fun and relaxed day cruising on the 'Red Boat' 14ks up the pristine Arthur River. Destination: Turks Landing, set in a stretch of cool temperate rainforest. On the way see awesome white bellied sea eagles pick up fish which the crew float on the water. Further up the river is the sea eagles' amazing nest which was built over 45 years ago and continues to nurture chicks every year.

Hear a wealth of information about why the Arthur River, the only 'wild' river in Tasmania, is so unique and special. See the changes in vegetation along the river banks and learn more about the plants and animals during a guided walk in the rainforest.

A hearty BBQ with salads and wine adds contentment to the day's outing before the leisurely return trip is completed at 3pm.

Close to the "Edge of the World" is a quaint red boat which goes up the Arthur River to where it is joined by the Franklin River. The boat is run by Greg and Rob and the whole day is marvellous. The place itself is serene (even in strong winds like today), the sea eagles are superb, the information, stories,... More

Greg and Rob are the best tour guides we have ever encountered. Rob has lived and worked in this remote part of Tassie all his life, from bushie to forester to fisher to farmer. He knows and loves every aspect of the forests and its creatures. Being on the trip felt like being part of an authentic family insight into... More

We can thoroughly recommend doing the cruise. It was informative & interesting. Greg and Rob were friendly and made the day more than we could have imagined. Loved the sea eagles. The nature walk was also very interesting conducted by Rob when we returned Greg had cooked a delicious barbie lunch

This cruise runs up the Arthur River and included feeding sea eagles, seeing wonderful pristine wilderness plus an easy bush walk with our guide, Robert, who is a walking encyclopaedia of information on the local flora etc. We enjoyed a bush barbecue and had a great time. For my wife I think the highlight was hand feeding a rufus wallaby... More

We arrived early for this tour and after registering were told by Lesley that we still had time to view the mouth of the river at the "edge of the world" where the next land mass was South America. Another nice gesture was towards a group of motorcyclists who were able to leave their jackets, helmets etc. in a secure... More

We were staying in Stanley and decided to head to Arthur River for the cruise. Thank god we did! The weather was just perfect and the crew were just full of stories, both light hearted and factual. My 8 year girl old said the highlight of her Tassie trip was listening to Rob on the bush walk and listening to... More

Went on this cruise with family visiting from Queensland and had a wonderful time. Informative, friendly and attentive crew made the day extra special, while we were enthralled by the incredibly beautiful and wild Arthur River. A wonderful way to spend a day.

We are not so fond of river cruises but is the one NOT TO MISS ! The boat is not of recent construction but offers excellent comfort, including toilets. It's the people who run this cruise who make it so exceptional. The owner, his assistant, his female staff, they were all wonderful, some of the nicest people we have ever... More
