Hello Scott, I'm presuming you came through on a tour bus that was on a tight schedule, possibly running late, etc.. Yes in that case it's hard to allocate more time for finding our beautiful wildlife. We are looking at ways to help guests such...More

Hello Bevlea, That's so strange!! We do a count every morning on the KW and I think the lowest number we've gotten lately is ten, on the KW itself... They do climb high at certain times of the day....And move into the forest.. Then there...More

We were served by a nice lady named Kelly. She was very helpful in telling us where the best places were to see koalas in the bush. When we started walking a sanctuary worker said that there were a lot of koalas in the opposite...More

Very nice place to observe koalas and many other animals - especially birds. Funny to see all the people walking around watching to the sky (top of the trees).

This is a wildlife sanctuary ~ that being said there is NO guarantee you are going to see any animals, this is a huge place. The animals are wild, not contained and not kept in cages. If you are there during the day many may...More

The Sanctuary was one of the few places I was told were "must-see" on the island - so you can imagine our disappointment when we saw a total of two koalas - one of which was trying to escape over an electric fence. The swarm...More

Thank you for visiting in February 2016. February is the hottest and driest month of the year. Australian wildlife is mostly nocturnal. It shelters and rests during the heat of the day especially in February. But even in the middle of a hot February day...More

A lovely reserve where you can see the Koalas in their "Natural" habitat. Strolling through the gum trees was a very peaceful experience.

This refuge is nicely situated just outside of Flinders Chase NP. It is a great way to see koala's because they mark the trees where they are in. Nice walks her too.
