The only reason why I gave this place a 4 is because there are no Warungs that have cocktails or liquor, (only beers) and you have to pay 200k for a beach chair. A little overpriced in my opinion but there is a place you can rent snorkel gear from. The water is excellent to snorkel at, and it’s got an amazing sunset as well.

Were here during a day trip to Nusa Penida and wanted to take some time to bathe. The beach was rather crowded at around 3PM when we arrived and the blackish sand absorbed the heat where it was near impossible to have a comfortable stroll without proper footwear. The waters were cleared of much of the corals so not a very nice place for snorkeling. You have to charter one of the boats to go into deeper water to enjoy some good snorkeling. As is with tourist spots, amenities will be priced higher than normal and I would recommend giving this beach a pass for better ones in and around Bali.

We stayed right next to the beach so we only went there in the morning for snorkelling and in the evening for sunset. During the day there must be a lot of people. The beach was clean, however as everywhere behind the buildings there is a lot of garbage. The sunset is beautiful and there are many fish in snorkelling. However, as with any ocean, you should know the tides and not swim mid-tide or pay attention to the currents. Pandan beach 10/15 minutes walk is beautiful.

It is a pretty cool beach, especially if you go first thing in the morning before 10:30 or last thing when the sunset is almost over.The rest of the day there are thousands of mostly Western people. It's a good place to snorkel. If you like it and the sunset is also very nice with the islet in the middle of the bay.. It has a lot of chiringuitos to eat (warung) although none is especially glamorous or cheap.

A normal beach like this is full of thai for example. It's just that the beach is nothing but cool. Also the agonda in Goa is much better. Probably impress a man who is used to vacationing in Sochi

Oh yes, as so often, you can only be disappointed by the beaches here. It is best to look at current pictures here or on Google. The beach does NOT look like it did on the beautiful thumbnails (from 2017 or 2018). About a third of the promenade is currently blocked off with construction fence. Palm trees aren't there. When we came, there was garbage everywhere. Eventually someone came (before about 3 pm most of the tourists came) and put away a bit of the bigger things, like bottles. The prices are the absolute usury!! 100k for a beach chair. For comparison: We paid for scooter rental for the whole day 80k!!! We also found 100k for snorkeling gear too much without seeing the quality. With small swimming goggles we saw some cool fish despite waves. Otherwise, it would have been a disappointment.

Overhyped beach. Very crowded with chairs and not very clean or tidy when we went. It wasn’t an attractive place to stay for hours. The surrounding view is very pretty. But as far as beaches go it’s not really anything spectacular

Not very good not so crystal all over Bali now water is dirty so lucky in Australia the water and white sand is so clean .. but what really hit up my nose you need to stay there 2 /3 hours all depends how long your little group stays watching the cliffs and when you get to the beach there no shelter so your forced to hire 2 seat with umbrella they charge $20 Australian to sit if you want to have a clean water shower charge again. Absolutely a rip off Also you need to be pretty fit wouldn’t do if over 65 lots of hills and broken unstable ground..
