We visited this estate and museum at the open door day and enjoy the walk to the park til the river. Very peaceful even with plenty of people enjoying free entrance, the sun and the pick-nick possibilities. After that we went in the museum itself. Interesting but explanation in English were missing, it's a pity but not a lot of... More

It is just a short ride from Moscow. However, it offers great insight into life of Russia's aristocrats. I would compare it to the estates in France. It has a wonderful unobstructed views of forest and the river. This place doesn't have a lot of tourists. Unfortunately, museum doesn't work every day.On my visit, I was able to walk through... This estate is located 10km from Moscow and we took a bus there. Was not so hard to get there. I would really recommend it to be a place to visit if you are up for a day gateway from Moscow. The beauty of the palace, church and garden is timeless. The lake however, is not really well kept..yet you... More

It's good place for walk on bank of Moscow river. Park buildings and palace are not in ideal state. Entry fee to park - 150 rupees, out of season too. Entry to museum extra charge. Most interesting place is micro church in the old style, don't need any ticket. You can visit to Arkhangelskoye by bus from metro station Tushinskay.... More

The estate is really picturesque, bears the features dating back to the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and reflects the tastes of its former owners. The church of the Michael Archangel ( the estate was called in his honour) is beautiful. The park needs improvement and the buildings -- further restoration. Hopefully, under new management Archangelskoye will resume the old grandeur... More

Bit difficult to find by car, but M9 and A106 will do, 20 km from center. You can also go by metro and bus. Buildings are nice, but still desperately in need for proper restoration. Nice old paintings, statues and furniture in Grand Palace. Entrance 150 for garden, and 400 with entrance and collection of Grand Palace. Nice for half... More

If there is a Russian Versailles -then it is it! I liked Versailles, by the way. But the Archangelskoe is amazing, I don't know, if it is the land or views or the atmosphere or what, but you really want to see and experience all these beauties, for a stroll or for a nice photo shoot. The ticket prices are... More

Impressive former manor house outside just Moscow. It is possible to get there by public transport, although we took a private bus tour. The outside of the building needs some TLC, but the main house is very impressive inside and out. The guide took us through most of the beautifully decorated rooms. As we were there in winter, the outside... More

Huge beautiful green territory near northwest of Moscow. You can ride on bus in Tusinskaya bus terminal to this place. Approximately 25 minute ride. This estate is now a museum, famous with pocelain collection and jewelly/handwritten mid-age books. Very thick forest with oak, pine trees and rich ferns. Narrow path through forests, so fresh and excellent to walk. Very beautiful... More
