Maybe the early summer is the off-season, but the scenery was still worthwhile with wildflowers about in some areas. (I guess Australians go there to see snow in their usually snow-free country) I highly recommend taking this diversion if you are driving from Melbourne to Sydney.

Great place to visit, snow in the winter and wildflowers in the spring. The snow is always awesome to see, this is my first time seeing it and I recommend Thredbo Village as its a quaint little place with great pubs and nice parks. This is where you would go up the Merrits chairlift. Great to do and experience while... More

Cold, wild weather and heaps of snow and ice blasting in your face = heaven on earth. If you want to experience a wake up call to your inner nature, stand at the top of Mt Perisher or Thredbo during a blizzard and feel the exhilaration. Mountain bike the ready made trails during the milder months.

It was my first time at snow. I went to Selwyn resort to ski and had some stops on the road for pictures and tea. The mountain is incredibly beautiful, but you need to be careful driving thought it. It was a good time. I recommend it.

We stayed at East Jindabyne and this review relates to the southern part of the Snowy. If you enjoy nature the Snowy Mountains has much to offer.... More
