The 30 minute ferry ride was very enjoyable. It was very busy but we managed to get a spot outside You get the chance to see the life on the water and the buildings on the water's edge, plus you go past the Opera House and you also get a great view of the Harbour Bridge. Only downside was that... More

I love love love taking the Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly and vice versa. The views are beyond stunning and if you go at sunset you are going to be blown away. Go on Sunday and a day ticket will only cost you a few bucks. Also it really is the fastest way to get to manly and back.... More

Lovely view, perfect for a day out with family. My son is completely obssessed with ferries (so much so that he would like to be a sea captain when he grows up). My partner and I decided to take days off our respective work places and fulfil our son's wish. Needless to say, he was absolutely thrilled, ecstatic, full of... More

Mainly ferry is the best way to go on Manly beach... it is 30 minutes drive... mainly beach is the only stop so you dont have to worry if you are going to miss it...

My wife and I decided to take the ferry to Manly for the day. I was an easy to get tickets and get on the ferry. The island is like being at a beach in So. California. Good shops and we had a FABULOUS LUNCH before heading back to Sydney.

On a very hot and humid day, I chose to take the ferry to Manly. The trip is covered by the Opal card, as are all Sydney trains, trams (although they insist on calling them Light Rail), buses and most of the other ferry services. The journey usually takes 30 minutes each way and the time goes by quite quickly.... More

Capped Opal card means you get to check out lots of great beaches using trains, buses and of course - the fantastic ferries.

The ferry has a certain old charm. It runs like a Swiss Clock and the staff is very helpful and courteous. And not to forget: the views are breathtaking.

Took the public ferry to Manley to get views of the Opera House from the ocean. Nice leisurely ride out to Manley Wharf. No need to pay extra for the Fast Ferry (I believe it gets you to Manley 15 mins faster than the public ferry—using Opal). The public ferry leaves from a different wharf than the Fast Ferry @...
