Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, Rodin, Kandinksy, Picasso, Giacometti... just to name a few. It was such a nice surprise. Don't miss it.

The gallery is huge with lots of historic paintings and contemporary art works. Most of the area is free entry, except some special exhibitions. I have spent around 4 hours in the gallery looking at the historical paintings. It is a "Must-go" in Sydney.

The Gallery of NSW is currently showing the Archibald Prize. The most prestigious portraiture prize in Australia. While this specific exhibition has an entry price their are many collections to see in the gallery that are free to view. It's a great place to see...More

We didn’t have enough time to go through the whole museum, and I definitely want to go back next time I am in Sydney. The Archibald exhibit is worth the $18 extra to go see. It is a combination of modern, contemporary and aboriginal art....More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
