We wandered around the aquarium loving every moment. We would like the give a big thumbs up to Josh who took time out from setting up the lettuce trays to explains some of the feeding regimes. We visited durring the week so there were no crowds.

We've gone to a lot of aquariums. Each one is unique and this one had lots of life from the area of Australia, so it was very enjoyable. We had a guide and she was knowledgeable and interesting.

I prepurchased our tickets and got a small discount however still had to queue up for quite a while before going inside which was frustrating. I liked that u just move in one direction to go through the entire aquarium so it's set up really well to ensure you see everything. My 10 year old loved it but I think... More

I really enjoyed the Aquarium, there is much to see and plenty of hands on attractions for the children BUT it is very tired and needs some work but if you can look past that you will enjoy your time here.

Due to rain that never arrived we cancelled our day to Taronga Zoo and went indoors instead to Sydney Aquarium. I personally went there last 6 years ago. I don't think it has improved or expanded much since then except for maybe the penguin boat ride but the kids enjoyed it which was the main thing

If you have limited time in Sydney, you may skip this attraction. It's better to spend your time outdoors (the harbour) and feed the birds.

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium was our first attraction on our pass and it didn't disappoint. The aquarium takes you through a journey from prehistoric times to our oceans today, providing factual information as well as breathtaking sea life! I would highly recommend Sea Life to everyone, particularly younger children, as this attraction is fun and gives you an insight into... More

We went here for 2-3 hours or so on a Saturday morning and it wasn't to crowded. We booked online to save a few dollars and got into aquarium quickly. Overall the exhibits were really good, we especially enjoyed the underwater tunnels where you have a dugong, sharks, rays and other types of fish swimming over you. The penguin experience... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
