You can easily walk around this area and see for yourself the high rise buildings that now overshadow the older buildings that are some of the oldest ones in Sydney

Sydney is a very walkable city. Whilst there is a mild elevation at times, it is not a difficult city to walk around. Current constructions for (i believe the light rail) limit certain access, but that's the price of progress

Sydney's CBD dates from convict days and hence is not in a grid like Melbourne or Adelaide's. However it's generally pleasant, but be aware of the construction zone that is George Street as the good project of reintroducing trams ('light rail') continues. There are plenty...More

Whenever visiting Sydney we love visiting the city centre. Its a very large city centre and not one you can walk around easily. Though one can use the train or bus to get from one end to the other. Retail and dining options are numerous.

At Lady Macquarie's Chair & At Lavender Bay, you can take beautiful Sydney CBD photos. In addition, on Level 2 at Overseas Passenger Terminal (Cruise) near Sydney Harbour, Sydney CBD views are fantastic especially at night.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
