Just take the ferry from Circular Quay for a few dollars and enjoy the boat ride along the Opera Building and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Manly is a great surf town, nice beaches and great walks over the cliffs!

Take the long one. Make it lasting. 30 min is still too short. Definitely not fast ferries for me. You could catch the sunset. Sunrise would be difficult due to the running times of public ferries. See the gap. See the changes of colors in...More

we did the AAT 1/2 day (AM) manly beach tour which offered fantastic views and awesome houses (rich man's area). other than it was a rainy too cold day which caught us unawares on a Summer month.

Our Conference venue was just across the street from this beach. It is a lovely small beach with a striking colour of water. It's used for surfing as well as swimming. However, it's very difficult to find parking nearby even during the weekdays in summer...More

The best beach in Sydney for sure and a must to visit when in Sydney. Lovely ferry ride from Sydney and you have the harbour and beach side of Manly to explore. Great food, pubs, shops with buskers in the main Corso playing music. Make...More

Lovely sandy beach with surf for the boarders. Swimming is only allowed between the flags where it is patrolled by the life guards. If you want gentler waters go round the corner to the beautiful Shelly beach. Plenty of places to eat suitable for all...More

Took the ferry at the circular quay terminal, cost me something like $5 for a roundtrip. The ferry runs every half hour but get there early as the outbound was jam packed at 11am on a weekend. The views on the trip are spectacular. Manly...More

Loved the ferry across from Circular Quay. The tap on tap off system works beautifully. The weather, superb. The Manly Market was happening too and we had a ball. The Manly Wharf toilets however need attention. Now! Really Manly!

The wind was blowing pretty strong when I visited. This always spoils any beach visit. However we did go for a scuba dive that evening after the wind died down a little. Although not my most memorable dive, I still enjoyed the outing.

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

It's beautiful anytime on Manly beach and Shelley beach. Weather should be OK we are still having sunny days and mild temperatures. Ride the ferry over from Circular Quay.
