Few visitors to this small sandy beach would know that this was where the British first set foot in Sydney Harbour, so Camp Cove has a deserved place in Australian history. The beach is about an 800 metre walk from the Watsons Bay ferry terminal. It is thankfully pristine and not commecialised. There were about 80 people at the beach... More

CAMP COVE beach has lovely white sand and calm and shallow water suitable for safe swimming. There are lovely views of the City of Sydney and the beach has a calm and tranquil feel about it. There is a kiosk nearby for water and snacks but it is quite pricey so best to take your own packed lunch and water... More

I stumbled upon this beach while walking from Watson to Rose Bay. This is such a nice little beach with a great view of the city in the distance. Definitely worth a visit!

Most days, this is a very charming inner harbour beach, with very little water current and waves. It is protected from sharks, and has a great kiosk nearby, and good amenity block on the northern end of the beach.A must do for beach goers who like gentle water.

So off the beaten track, cosy little beach in the Harbour, near Watson's Bay. Good for a bit of snorkeling too. Very suitable for families with kids.

Cosy, private but small . thankfully not commercial but bring do has some downsides... No gear rental etc. Costs about 35-40 from cbd on uberx and very convenient to get back via Watson's bay ferry wharf

Great beach, very secluded and relaxing. Avoid the crowds of Manly and Bondi and go for this beach instead.

This lovely beach's historical importance is typically understated, in the Australian tradition. This is the beach where Europeans first set foot in Sydney Cove. It was also an important place for aboriginal people. It was a good source of fresh water. It's a lovely little cove, sheltered and a nice spot away from Watsons Bay when it's busy on weekends.

Like your own private beach hardly anyone tere. Tucked away at the end of Watsons Bay. Got the ferry from the city and discovered it by chance. So quiet and peaceful with good swimming. Nice sand too.

Right next to the delightful Watsons Bay is Camp cove a beautiful sma beach in front of Millionaire style houses yards from the beach, awesome. Also a lovely circular historical walk around South Head to see the Gun positions and Hornby Lighthouse still in use today --magical
