We walked from Bondi beach to Coogee beach (it can take a few hours, with a lunch break at Bronte). We then took the bus from Coogee back to town, using our OPAL card

Great Family Beach. Safe and lots of lovely sand. Very close to the town so easy for practicalities too.

Coogee beach is perfect to visit with your Family or friends. It's easy acess ( by car, bus 373, by bike or walk). It's about 30 min from dtw of Sydney. There are some restaurants (Pavilion , is the best), bakery, pubs or pizza restaurant...More

After visiting Bondi, we went to Coogee through the Coastal walk... what a beach it is... although not as huge as Bondi or Manly but it is full of life... transport ia accessible right outside the beach area... enjoyed it to the core...

Coogee is a nice beach but i find it's crowded all year round and that puts me off. There are grass areas that you can have a picnic and enjoy the sun. Alcohol ban over the summer.

We visited Coogee on a nice sunny afternoon . The promenade was full of people happily wandering looking down on the surf breaking onto the lovely wide beach . Between the beach and roadway there is a lovely green area on which families were having...More

Beautiful little beach, though not the best on an overcast day like the one I was visiting on. The Coogee-Bondi coastal walk starts here which I highly recommend. Quite easy to get to from the city centre, we took an Uber it was a 10...More

Smaller beach than some of the other beaches in the area, but lovely all the same. There is seating/ steps all around, so you can just sit and watch the waves roll in. There are some nice shops, restaurants and bars in the main street

A beautiful eastern suburbs beach to walk along at anytime of the day, you can also enjoy a swim, a surf or a paddle. There is a lovely array of cafes and bars as well as swimming pools. A great beach destination!

This is a great beach. It has three ocean pools (one is ladies and children only) and a stretch of beach that's watched over by lifeguards so you can swim in the sea. The current is quite strong and there can be big rollers. Lots...More

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the
smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi
Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs
that does not have big waves, making it an excellent
family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right
across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens
in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night
of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity
