As expected, it's commonly busy and crowded, yet very convenient and accessible. It's where I go, mostly for changing trains to go to different parts of the city. Staff are attentive and platforms are labelled nicely. There are also options for stairs or escalators, so it's very accommodating. Definitely helpful for tourists like me :)

This is a big station with a lot going on, so it will help if you know the times of your train and where to go. We love it, as it has a real buzz, there are buskers at various spots, some good some not so good. Many cafes and eateries dotted around, as like most major train stations of... More

Having flown in from Tas i was advised the best way to get into Sydney is via the underground rail system. We don't have passenger rail in Tas so it would be a unique experience. Google told me to travel to Central and get off to connect to a service going close to my hotel. What Google didn't tell me... More

Happy to have stayed in a hotel near the Central Railway Station. This railway station was our starting point everyday with our travel itinerary. Instructions are clear as day; very easy to navigate.

We took our main trips to locations out of the CBD from the Central Station while we were on holiday in Sydney, and we found the train services to be quite convenient as a central hub, as the name suggests

First get your Opal card, most convenience stores. Traveled a 150 kms for like $8.60. The stations and trains are clean. Also have quite cars. The Opal card is for all public transportation.

The main hub for changing trains or catching the tram, it's a big place with lots of platforms and if you're on the airport train quite a walk to the tram terminus, having said that it's quite easy to find your way around. Worth noting that any line with a prefix of T is for local trains, the tram is... More
