My husband and I traveled from Cairns especially to go and see this 10 piece band perform at The Basement. The venue and the food was fantastic and The Last Waltz Revival Band didn't miss a beat! They were amazing, fabulous performance. It is actually...More

Fantastic music from Tami Neilson made the night special. Had a great table almost on the stage. The service was good but let down by very ordinary food. My starter (what there was of it) was half cold. The salmon main was very nice. Drinks...More

After reading all the negative reviews I have to say I had low expectations. But in my opinion the food was first class. Delicious and so beautifully presented. The table service by Emma was amazing and attentive. The intimacy of the venue and to see...More

Our night in The Basement started awkwardly and went downhill from there. We had paid in advance for dinner and to see a band. On arrival we were ushered to a quite small table for four which already had two people on it. Certainly intimate....More

We went to the Basement after many years, to see the Martini Lounge and Big Momma show on June17th 2017. Big, big, big mistake to pay an extra $60 dollars each for a pathetic, tasteless dinner. The food was inedible. My gnocchi were like rubber...More

I've taken friends and family to the Monday Jam and I've been lucky enough to listen to a wide repertoire of musicians and singers. I love how varied the music and artists are. The entertainment here has never disappointed me and I'll definitely be back...More

Oh dear. Thank goodness the acts are still good. Management are out to make a cheap buck. Don't kill the golden goose guys. $20 for two forgettable drinks. Eating in the dark at least hid the food.

These guys have Zero idea on how to run an event venue. Having worked in hospitality for over 30 years I am appalled with what these people pass off as food at $60pp. 2 courses of cold crap with no flavour and no sides. Embarrassing....More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
