Glad we made the journey to find this gem. The pub is just like an English pub and serves real ale, a good selection of wine and other drinks and also has a good bar food menu. My husband enjoyed two of the ales and...More

A short walk up from the harbor and the Rocks, the Lord Nelson has great beer. Can get really busy but there are usually some seats and standing areas outside too.

Met a mate here this week and really liked the old school atmosphere here. The beer was also good, and brewed in house and the staff were helpful and on the ball. I'd go back.

Visiting Australia for the first time for our son's wedding to a beautiful Australian girl, our first stop was Sydney. The Lord Nelson was in a great location and the staff was very attentive and accommodating.

Lovely pub in a great location, well worth a visit; good selection of beers on tap. Had lunch in main pub which was pleasant enough but portion sizes small - pretty expensive to eat here.

This is the oldest hotel in Sydney as per our bike tour guide. Great to have a beer - they have 7 or 8 for all tastes on the tab. We did not eat but many were having meals and they looked good as well.

Great selection of beer, we had no time to eat, however the food that came out looked good. The surrounds really atmospheric real fire and pleasant location to relax after a busy trip around the Rock!

We stayed in the rooms upstairs but the pub itself is worth a visit. Great pale ale called the Three Lines. Very authentic and doesn't have to try too hard.
