Centrally located on Pitt Street. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent. Beer was icy cold and not as expensive as some of the other pubs close by.

Bustling but fortunately not overloud. And the schnitzel was perfect. Crispy breadcrumbs and thick moist chicken

Great spot for a beer before dinner. Very nice Art Deco pub. Nice clientele. Very clean and about to talk without shouting.👍

We were staying at the Ibis Hotel just upstairs from the Civic Hotel so after a long day it was great to find good food literally next door. My partner loved his grilled fish and I was very happy with my chicken schnitzel. If we hadn't had lamb the night before we would have been getting stuck into the delicious... More

This hotel has great food inspired by Greek cuisine, I had the lamb burger with tzakiki sauce and chips. Also their cocktails were delicious and different. I will definitely be going back.

Visited here recently for an after work drink and decided to also stay for a meal. The place gets really busy and was very noisy - and the meals - although very good - were tiny servings - particularly the salads (even with the meat additions). I also noticed the heartier meals were very small by pub meal standards.

Dear Damien, Thankyou for your review. We have a specialty bistro that focuses more on Greek tapas sharing plates aswell as some pub classic meals which to tend to be smaller as our quality is very high and our price in line with pub competition. We have just recently changed our menu and hope to see you in again some... More

Las weekend a bunch of friends and me went to Civic Underground and we had to pay 20$ in advance for a ticket. The venue was empty but the worst thing was that they stoped the dj set before 2am instead of 4am when the club suppose to close. The venue's managers forced us to leave the club without any... Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
