It was hot at 8:45am after a 6.8km run starting and ending at Wagga Wagga Beach. A number of runners had jumped in the water to cool off. The amenities are good. Fixed BBQs, lots of shelter, and well-maintained grassy verges.

Its a river bank with a shallow level of water (looks muddy from the distance). However, good to feel cool on a hot summer day and take a dip. The water levels are only just about 2-3 feet.

The whole family loved Wagga Beach! The water was freezing cold but didn't stop a swim from happening. We'd recommend it to anyone traveling through this area. Pack a picnic and enjoy the lazyboy chairs under the gum trees.

Great spot to unwind and rest in the sun or under a tree. Water is fine for both little kids and bigger ones as well. Walk to town, amenities close by and well cared for.
