Make this the first place you visit in Alice Springs. Not only can you pay tribute and learn about the exploits of all of the conflicts Australian soldiers have served in, you get a great view of the town and surrounding MacDonnell ranges.

This is a great spot to get an overview of Alice Springs. The memorial recognising those who died in the wars is tasteful, and the only place to see views over the city and the ranges. There are storyboards and information charts to read as...More

Watched the sunset drop with the family. Nice spot with parking available. If you're looking for a workout try running the hill with the locals.

Virtually right in the centre of Alice Springs this memorial drive/lookout is very popular because of its picture perfect moments and view of the town surroundings.

Yes there was good lighting when we visited during sunset and it is popular so I'm assuming they keep it well lit. Sorry I have been so long in answering I have been in hospital. I hope this helps.
