I can see the Fish Market from my balcony and it is a 15 min walk to the best fish shop in Darwin. All Australian produce (unlike Mr Barra next door) and a wonderful range of fish and shellfish. So lucky to have this gem on my doorstep!

Fresh seafood. Lots of fish on display. Next to Mr Barra near Duck Pond harbour. I go for the SA oysters, which are so fresh and yummy. Prices cheaper than restaurant price, so worth the trip.

I have just consumed 12 oysters with lemon, at home, after purchasing at the Darwin Fish Market. Best to eat right away. Easy to eat with a fork and dispose of shells responsibly in plastic bags. I enjoyed my 'handful' of local, fresh Tiger prawns, also with lemon. We are spoilt in Darwin with our fresh seafood!

Mussels, Scollops, Lobster, Mud & Sand Crabs; & my favourite fresh Coffin Bay Oysters (try with Campari, Soda & wedge of Orange YUM!) I love the smoked... More

This is a great seafood market if your intention is to go an buy some beautiful fresh seafood to take home and cook. However we went with the intent of finding some lunch. Whilst there is a fish and chip store next door, this is exceptionally average given the fresh produce they could be using from this fish market. Shame.

Here you have the widest range of fresh and frozen seafood, at competitive prices! You can see what you are buying, often taste. All is well presented and supplied to many outlets in Darwin so the quality must be good. Well done Darwin Fish Market and Carmel.

There are two places to get fresh or frozen seafood in Darwin, Mr Barra and here. I have purchased from both and over the years would have purchased more from the Darwin Fish Market. The best for prawns and Mud Crab, also very good for fish and I have to mention Tassie Mussels when they have them. Compare the prices... More

Decieving. The tasters they give you do not reflect what you purchase. The bugs were flowery to the point of not being edible. One lot of prawns did not taste anything like they gave you to try. Very disappointed.
