Be sure to visit this facility if you have never seen a B52 bomber up close. This aircraft alone is worth seeing. Its a fairly hot building to visit, especially during the buildup or wet season, but during the dry season it is bearable. As the hanger is not air conditioned and the whole facility is a bit of a... This was a nice place to visit and learn the history of the air craft used by our air force in the past and the present.

What a great place! The day we visited was open cockpit day so we were able to sit in the planes and helicopters. The kids had a fabulous time. There was no extra cost for this experience. They loved seen the old planes and being able to touch them ad sit in them was something they will ever forget. There... More

The highlight is of course the B52 bomber, still trying to figure out how they got it in the hanger. But there displays, movies, helicopters, reasonable souvenir shop and good coffee.

Thank you for visiting there is a lot of noise and smoke involved to get the B52 in the air. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Darwin and glad that you enjoyed our shop and coffee. More

I have not been one for museums much or planes but this place is a little treasure trove of memorabilia, artifacts & various aircraft, the standout being the B-52 Stratofortress bomber which alone occupied most of the hanger. There is a lot of history about Darwin & especially about WWII & the Japanese invasion of Darwin. It was the place... More

One of only 3 B52s outside the USA but cluttered all around it and under it are various much lesser airplane displays making it impossible to get any good photos of the B52. The F111 exhibit was second only to the BUFF but the technical info. on it was not really sufficient and why on earth is the steps to... More

Interesting. Hugh shed full of planes. The B52 took up almost all of it. Smaller planes were parked under it. Lots of things to see. Shop had lots of books about aviation history. Was impressed and being a wife who did not want to go, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Photographs and first hand accounts and hundreds of artifacts from the bombing of Darwin and the pacific. Amongst the aircrafts of the Allied and Japanese forces looms over all the gigantic B52 . An unbelievable collection of all things aviation and the Stories of the men and women who were there !
