We visited Mindel Markets twice while in Darwin. The place has a great vibe and an eclectic collection of stall holders. Live music and live animals give this place something extra over other Markets we've visited. A great place to watch sunset too.

Mindil Beach Markets are held on Thursday and Sunday evenings. The attraction is a huge selection of market stalls culminating in a brilliant sunset over the ocean facing onto the beach. The markets are very popular with many of the stalls selling a tasty selection...More

Writing as a local, the revived Sunset market at Mindil beach is worth visiting. The old was somewhat tired, same old same old food stalls - limited variety of food. But this year, it has been much better. We were actually tempted... to try the...More

For Tourists, friends and family from interstate, Mindil is a must. But once you have done it a few times, the crowds and parking get on your nerves. These days the only way we enjoy it is if we get really organised and drag our...More

The Darwin laksa booth is amazing! The market has heaps of food stands but if you can only get one definitely pick Darwin Laksa. It is unbeatable.

Arrived at 5.30 pm walked the food stalls until the meal selection which was before the crowd. Consumed the meal on the beach as the sunset. Was well worth the visit a short bit of shopping and left the crowd to the beach.

Go before sunset and grab a bite and drink afterwards. Lots of local and indonesian specialties + handcraft available. If lucky, you can also enjoy the performance of a local band.. 🗣 Remark: Do notice that this is an 'non alcohol' zone

Yes, there is a great sunset but you can see that in a number of places around Darwin. Extremely limited healthy food options, you'd struggle for choice if you're vegetarian (fresh cut mango was good). Arts & crafts are typical of most markets - crystals,...More

Mindil Markets will be closed but there are some other (smaller) markets on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Have a look for Parap Markets or Nightcliff Markets.
