It's about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes south of Cairns. The drive is beautiful passing lots of mountain and farm scenery. When you get there, there will hardly be a car park - even on weekdays. This place is busy with locals,...More

Mossman Gorge might well be the waterfall/ mountain stream swimming experience that everyone knows of in this district but it isn’t necessarily the best. Try Josephine Falls. If you’re visiting Cairns it’s only about a 45min drive south (Mossman is well over an hour). It’s...More

A stunning set of waterfalls and natural swimming holes set in a beautiful rainforest. Various pools means it wasn’t too busy as people could be in different pools.

This was our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last. The water was refreshing and the slide down the rocks was fun. If you are not a confident swimmer it might be best to wear a life vest. There is a small current...More

A great place to stop for a swim, see the natural beauty the Capricorn coast has to offer. Better than Mossman Gorge as you can come and go as you please, no need to pay additional costs.
