If you're planning for a trip in Australia, cairns is a must visit place. Located on the east coast of Australia, this place has one of the worlds beautiful coral reefs. We really enjoyed our trip to Norman Reef. We went for the day with Reef Magic II. We only snorkeled but enjoyed the visit. Parts of the reef were obviously damaged by storms, cyclones and tourists but other parts were very full of life. In some spots there was an abundance of fish and the best way to see these... More

First dive around the Norman reef was at to about 9 meter and the second dive was about 15 meter....it is interesting but not the most fantastic.... May be the location was visited by too many tourists !! Quite many clown fish, parrot fish and also a big wrasse that was very friendly !! Was told there was a squid... More

Went for 2 dives at Norman reef. unfortunately, it was not as good as I expected it to be, since there was a lot of white dead reef. Else it is an interesting place - many butterfly fish, angel fish. I think the other reefs are nicer. Probably the reef has turned white because of so many of us tourists... More

Ok it may not be the best dive or snorkel site on the GBR but if you only have limited time you could do worse. It does take a few hours catamaran to get to the pontoon and once there it is exactly what you would expect, pushy demanding day trippers who think they are the only ones that matter.... More
