We drove over to Wynnum Esplanade around 3.30 pm this afternoon when it was low tide. The stench from the area was not pleasant but we still walked along the Esplanade to stretch our legs after the round trip from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast. A good walking area with a bicycle path, some parkland and plenty of activities for... More

Always a lovely spot for a walk out to the pier's end, relaxation under a shady tree or picnic gathering. A few fish and chip shops along the esplanade or use the barbeques on site. The wading pool is wonderful for children to splash about. A cool breeze is always present.

The Wynnum Esplanade has many pluses. You can go for a walk, ride a bike, picnic lunch, visit one of the fish and chip shops or swim in the protected pool. There is a small sandy beach near the jetty and pelicans and seagulls to spot. It's a great casual place to relax and read too.

A lovely place for a relaxing walk, a jog along the waterfront path or a cycle along the cycle path. Spectacular views across Moreton Bay. Grab some fish and chips at one of the local cafes and sit and take in the natural surroundings. Usually a nice bay breeze. Whale park near Pandanus beach is fantastic as a kids play... More

One can catch the train to Lota and walk along the shore past the Manly marina through to the Wynnum esplanade. Fine views of the sea and plenty of cafés or attractive spots for a picnic. Local Aboriginal history is well documented in various places and the walk along the jetty is decorated with Aboriginal motifs. The mangrove walk at... More

Getting there from Brisbane was relatively easy using public transport. I was blown away by the amazing view you get walking down the jetty. You can relax by the Wynnum Wading Pool is not that deep and the kids will love it. Get an ice cream, walk down the park and enjoy the sunset. It is such a pretty place... More

Really nice day spent on Urban / Forest walking trails between Lota Creek and Wynnum Mangrove boardwalks along the foreshore and the different Esplanades (Lota - Manly - Wynnum). Our recommendation: pick up theCleveland train in Brisbane cit, stop at Lota, take the boardwalk ca. 800mts south, return to the train station and cross it to, then, walk along the... More

I love the Wynnum waterfront, such a fabulous place to spend the day. Great walking paths, lots of cafes and fish and chip shops, tons of amazing parks and the wading pool for the kids. The boardwalk up the northern end of Wynnum is beautiful and great for a little wander. If you have time check out some of the... More
