The South Brisbane Memorial Park is secluded and beautiful, a peaceful and shady haven created by magnificent, ancient Bunyan Fig Trees that watch over the war memorials. A little off the beaten track, the park is passed by many cyclists and pedestrians on their way to South Bank. Unique views of the Brisbane River can be seen from the park.

This park is often overlooked being so close the another big attraction. It is however worthwhile to stop here and take a moment to read the memorial, I think it dates back to 1921.

In our modern world we rarely slow down long enough to appreciate things which we pass daily.. this is one of those very things which i have passed so many times and never bothered to look at this memorial... I would encourage every one who passes to slow down and go and look around...

For years I have walked passed this park without even knowing it existed, the Memorial park is located at the southern end of South Bank opposite the old South Brisbane Town Hall with views looking out to the river and the Goodwill Bridge. The park is a memorial to 'the fallen' during WW1 and WW2, there are monuments dedicated to... More

Close toSouthBank and the Gabba, this small park is quite a haven. Plenty of shade and close to traffic but not noisy.

Just off the southern end of Southbank, a nice set of steps lead up to a small garden area. With simple features of a large cannon and a monument, Memorial Park pays tribute to the armed forces. A nice little spot to relax and pay respects. Very close to south bank, just off the end of the Goodwill Bridge.
