We went for a half day trip to Fitzroy Island using the speedboat Raging Thunder. We included in the booking the lunch box and rental for snorkeling equipment, which could be also substituted by a glass boat tour or other beach hire. This adds an additional 30 AUD to the price of the tour. Snorkeling equipment can be rented separate... More

My partner and I went there during peak season last christmas. We booked through tripadvisor for $110 pp for the all inclusive package and it was the highlight of our Cairns trip!! Let's start with the check in at the reef fleet terminal.. Not very easy to find as their check in booth was at the end of the building... More

Excellent day out, fantastic price for all that's included. If you are planing to spend the whole day snorkeling I do suggest bringing your own mask and snorkel as they are not the best but good enough if you just wanted to go our for an hour or 2 on the reef

Had the most amazing day, the staff of Raging Thunder were fun and friendly right from the start on the ferry ride to this beautiful island, we booked the extras tour which included a 1hr glass bottom boat ride with excellent info guide, use of all the gear ie, snorkeling, boarding and picnic lunch. Only draw back is that the... More

Absolute tropical island paradise! Have been out twice with Raging thunder - once via ferry and once with the fast speedboat and both have been excellent! Heaps to do there, beautiful scenery and great snorkelling. Definitely recommend for anyone needing a chilled island getaway for the day!

Ok so I'll start by stating that we LOVED our trip to Fitzroy Island with Raging Thunder. It was amazing. Two days prior we had a very disappointing trip to Green Island with another tour company. We found Green Island to be touristy & disgusting with angry greedy tourists smoking & pushing with their umbrellas and their selfie sticks. HOWEVER,... More

This was great, lazy day at the beach. We purchased the boat ride + equipment which gave us access to snorkel equipment, paddle boards, and stinger suits. Lunch and the glass bottom boat were included. We purchased our tix via Viator. Be sure to check in to get your physical ticket day of. We started our day with a few... More

My partner and I enjoyed the morning kayaking with Dom (he should get a pay rise). He was a fantastic enthusiastic guide who obviously had a passion for the island and its inhabitants. The kayaking was awesome and so was the stop off on Little Fitzroy Island to learn a little more about it and see an amazing view. Personal... More

This Island trip through Raging Thunder is a MUST for anyone wanting to visit The Coral Reef in a relaxed, paradise-like setting, with amenities to suit every need. Unlike other Islands, that my family and I also visited, Fitzroy Island felt completely untouched, un-commercialised. It gad a natural feel to it, like we were the first to inhabit the island....
