Took the train all the up to Kuranda Village at Atherton Tablelands. What a treat. Lovely train ride with awesome scenic views. U get to see Crystal Cascade and Barron Falls. You get a free cold wet towel and it's so soothing during the hot summer days. I'll definitely do this again. Worth the money.

Our family really enjoyed the trip up the Kuranda railway and especially hearing all the history about how it was built.

We are visiting Australia and have to say this is the worst tour we have done this trip. The station is lovely to visit and to have a look at the train and carriages and that's as far as I would go. Our carriage was absolutely packed , you are allocated seats and we were given seats away from the... More

We came down from Kuranda with the scenic railway. It was a hot day and we had booked the gold class. It was nice to sip some bubbly and viewing some spectacular scenary.

Beautiful journey up to Kuranda, can sit back in vintage style and enjoy the views. The carriages are comfortable although can get quite full.

You should take the gondola ride one way and take the return by the rail. You can see the nature and man at work. You will get time to spend time in the Kuranda village also. Please do not dine at the first restaurant, venture to the outskirts if you have time. My only problem was that Brisbane Airport was... More

Train ride up was nice and relaxing with plenty to see. Kuranda village is a great place to explore with many market stalls and wildlife attractions to see(highly recommend the bird enclosure). On the way home the sky rail provides a different view of the vast rainforest that covers this area and a quite ride back down the mountain!

We took the Kuranda Scenic Railway Gold Class from Smithfield to Kuranda and it was a very relaxing 90 minutes. Excellent service in the Gold Class cabin with food, drinks & a souvenir to take home. Great way for us & the kids to learn about the history of how the railway was built as well as a little bit... More

Lots of history as you head up the side of the mountain. This was a great one way trip up-we took the sky rail back down.

We thought it was a bit expensive, but after going on it from Freshwater station it was so worth it. The waterfalls were in full fall due to heavy rains and looked magnificent. What a wonderful way to travel to Kuranda I would recommend this to everyone, a must see .
