What a beautiful place for a swim!

The walk to the top falls is about 3kms on a tarred services road, it is quite hilly in spots so be prepared to sweat a little.
Very similar feel to the Babinda Boulders and just as dangerous so take caution if you decide to swim at all, very strong unpredictable currents in parts but lovely spot to swim at the top.

Make sure you bring a picnic to make it a lovely day out

Amazing falls to swim in. Definitely worth the 3.5km walk, you'll be keen for a swim once you get to the top

Great walk through the rainforest to the waterfall. Approximately 40mins one way along a service road, but it does have some decent dips and rises so good shoes are recommended

Gorge-ous! A long walk on a sealed bath, a few hills with a fabulous gorge at the end. A small climb down to the gorge will reward you with a very refreshing swim

Discovered a great little water fall with swimming holes. This is not a walk for someone who is unfit in a wheelchair that is not motorised. The walk at times can be a little steep but by the time you reach you destination you look at the scenery and find that is was worth it. Stopped at a creek on the way up, nice to relax and catch your breath.

Decent walk with plenty of steep hills but the waterfall and swimming holes at the end of the path are well worth it.

About a 3klm (40 min) walk up one of Cairns water supply access roads you find this waterfall and swimming hole. Pretty spot with a cool and refreshing swim which was worth the walk.

This one isn't for the faint hearted, whilst the path is purpose built, it does have massive steep parts - that makes it all the better when you arrive.

There were only 3 other people there when we arrived (2 leaving), and one further down do we had the place to ourselves for a while.

Didn't go swimming as we had to trek back and I'd rather have just looked at the views.

If you like walking and waterfalls, give this a try.

Great spot about 30 minutes drive from Cairns. Hike takes about another half hour if reasonably fit. Great freshwater swimming hole. No toilets or facilities but the track is a wide concrete road all the way.
