This attraction gets mixed reviews. My 12 yo daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The animal viewing sessions were educational and the guide answered all questions and gave everyone time to touch the animals (snake, baby crocodile). We paid for the photo to hold the koala and that was my daughter's favorite! Conditions were clean. They are doing... More

We had a great walk from Port Douglas to the Wildlife Habitat and found it very interesting. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of renovating work going on, but I think we were able to see most things. I volunteer at a wildlife park in Adelaide so I found it really interesting to see native animals that we don't have... More

Enjoyed petting the animals....tours were very educational. Some construction but that didn't keep us from seeing the animals.

So many beautiful birds and animals to look at and interact with - we could have stayed there for hours! Interesting and informative tours with friendly guides. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

We were planning to be in Port Douglas for 36 hours (mainly to snorkel to Reef), but upon doing more research into the area, found this place and read that you could not only get up-close and personal with a lot of native species, but actually get to hold a koala bear! We arrived late in the day on a... More

We took our visitors from Scotland as they were very keen to see the Lorikeets. because of this we decided to shout them 'Lunch with the Lorikeets'. The lunch was OK but when the keeper appeared with a parrot followed by a number of people who appeared to just walk in. we ere a little peeved. After all of the... More

Just visited, paid full family rate for a zoo which is half closed, has renovation work going on and smelt, looked and felt dirty. We were concerned for the animals. Not a good experience unfortunately! Our children were very disappointed too. Owners should take a look at what they are offering, charging and what other zoos are doing to make... More

I saw animals I have never seen before. I held a koala and even fed the kangaroos! We have great pictures to send home. Great place for families!

We went in the afternoon when most people had already been and gone. There was hardly anyone there so we had a wonderful time feeding the kangaroos and getting some great photos of all the animals. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gave us a free pass to come back anytime in the next 5 days. We loved the wide... More

We visited as part of a group tour with The Adventure Company Australia. Friendly staff, very clean & well maintained environment. Fantastic to get up close to so many species who were very well behaved. We learnt a lot. Thank you.
