Highly recommended as an introduction to the indigenous groups in Australia as long as you go for the guided, rather than the self-guided tour. As others have noted, info on the website doesn’t reflect reality. We saw that there were tours ‘throughout the day’ and...More

Was there on a friday afternoon around 2. Should be open according to website. Also no recent reviews. Doors closed on no sign of any kind. Might be closed?

Upon arrival, we seemed more of a burden than welcomed as visitors by the two staff members at the entrance. We were rushed through the main exhibit, to throw a 'commercial' boomerang. There was no 'tour' per se. We were left on our own, just...More

Great place, interactive and loads of information. We particularly liked the boomerang throwing as it was interactive! Interesting to find out more about the aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders. Would love to play the digeridoo like our guide- thanks so much for a great experience

Easy to reach by public bus. Buy a day pass. It's cheaper. Lots of personal attention in small groups through the museum, to learn about the culture, how to play a digeridoo, how to throw a boomerang. Good shop for Aboriginal art. Beautiful property.

We really loved the boomerang throwing and the didgeridoo. Fascinating and I would have loved to hear more about their culture. Unfortunately we then had a very long session about the Torres Island culture. The woman who lectured on this was very knowledgeable but completely...More

It is a great information centre to showcase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories. Starting to show age and some areas need upgrade/maintenance to attract tourists/visitors. Good conference facilties.
