The gardens are beautiful. It is a shame that the playground no longer has the bat cave paddling thing anymore. Nice place to go as a family or with friends to relax or play sports.

We mainly use this as a place to park our motorhome overnight when in Rockhampton. You can stay 48 hours and the council have officers check to make sure you do not stay longer. There are no facilities but it has a nice walk beside...More

My wife stayed at Kershaw Gardens for two nights as you're allowed to camp there for 48hrs for free. We walked through the gardens but it was largely fenced off due to cyclone Marcia that hit Rockhampton in 2015. Its been over two years, but...More

First visit there i wasn't overly impressed then found out they were still in the renovation stage after cyclone Marcia after reading other reviews. Went back and found some really nice surprises, nice old windmill, some fountains, and I found the waterfalls! Got some great...More

Stunning gardens with quiet walks, lots of birdlife and flowing water. Looking good again after the cyclone damage of a couple of years ago

This garden was damaged in the 2015 cyclone. It is quite damaged. You walk around the path network and often come to a dead end. It would appear that the local council has no money.

I have been told to go to the entrance at Charles Street, and there is a dog friendly area there? However, as we passed by the other day there was a sign "no dogs" Does this apply to all of the gardens or is there a dedicated section where I can take my fur babies?

Hi ,sorry but I can't say I actually saw any one there with dogs Nor did I see any signs that said dog friendly area. Rockhampton information centre very helpful so maybe if you gave them a ring they could help.
