The beach was beautiful but it was the busiest of the 7 beaches we visited on GKI. Quite a few residences backed onto it so it was easy access for them. It was hardest hit by the cyclone and there was clean up work in progress. I wouldn't have wanted to stay for long because I liked how quiet some... More

This is the closest beach to the Hideaway. Depending on wind direction , its a quiet , calm , sandy paradise for the kids to have fun. Sunset views to die for,

Nice beach for hiring some equipment and trying a water-based activity. My daughter and I tried stand-up paddle boarding. We enjoyed it.

Great beach - perfect for a swim although need to do this at mid to high tide. beautiful sand and very clear water. Lots of shade for sitting under all day and close enough to accommodation to be able to go and get lunch/drinks/snacks if you need. Big enough to be interesting for beach combing. Beautiful of an early morning... More

We had Putney almost to ourselves and toddled off for food and drinks at the Haven whenever we felt inclined. One for the bucket list for sure.

Spent an hour or so on this fabulous beach, water beautiful, lovely colour. Very safe to swim in and sand easy to walk on at low tide. Never saw beach at high tide so can't comment. There is come cabins running along the edge and a tavern of sorts

Putney Beach on Great Keppel is one of the best beaches in the world. At high tide it is a dream. Just above it is a bar/bistro which gives you at night a great backdrop of sunset drinks. A definite must for beach lovers!

White sands, turquoise water, soft waves and not many people! What more could you ask for! Relaxing and enjoyable- there is a small clump of trees to shelter under in the mid-day sun
