A very nice area to snorkel from the beach at Great Keppel Island. The walk down to the beach was a bit challenging but certainly worth it. Saw many types of colourful fish. Time your snorkel for mid-tide or slightly lower.

A nice sized beach. Not alot of shade if you wanted to stay the day. Good for exploring around the rocks at either end.

It is a good beach in Koppel Island but not really impressive for snorkeling. You have to swim to far to get a good place for snorkeling close to the coral.

So good to go around the island and find secret beached for a swim and BBQ hear is one I love just south of the old resort and warm enough to swim even in July.

We stayed on Keppel & this was one of the beaches recommended for snorkeling. I have seen coral reefs in a number of places in the Pacific and along the Australian coastline and this one was a bit disappointing. This reef is consistently flat (imagine...More
