About
Daydream Island’s amazing Living Reef is a must see on the island. Located at the entrance to the resort, it is one of the world’s largest man-made living coral reef lagoons and features more than 80 species of marine fish and 50 species of coral. This microcosm of the Great Barrier Reef continues to capture the imagination of tourists young and old; with guests having the opportunity to hand feed resident stingrays, sharks and barramundi.

The fish feeding for the family is great.

I went and did the snorkelling in the living reef and it was amazing. The host was fantastic (Jazz) and I would highly recommend it.

This has been an amazing stay and the snorkelling topped it off

Great to go underground to view the living reef.
Pull up a cushion and stare at the fish swimming around

Very relaxing viewing, though could be more coral and perhaps not propped up with a besser block brick. Fish are ample to watch. Did not see a fish feeding display which would be nice. Downstairs area to view Aquarium is nice.

Spent $360 for a couples massage that was the worst I have ever had! It was supposed to be some great Aromatherapy Kodo traditional massage to relieve muscle aches and pains by using special techniques to balance and realign energy flow etc. What it was was a half useless rub for an hour that cost me the earth and left feeling like I was oiled ready for an oven basting and no different to when I walked in. The only good part was the two (2) so-called massage therapists were really nice and polite. I would NOT recommend wasting your time or your money going to this spa (which is actually 2 resort rooms converted). Have a massage in Airlie Beach, much cheaper and far better.

We had such a great expeerience and felt like we were in paradise.

From Sydney, we landed in Hamilton Island. It only take a short ferry ride to get to Daydream Island.

Whilst arriving in Daydream, we were welcomed by the staff and we led to the lobby for a welcome briefing on the Island Do's and Don'ts. Then we're off to check in and to our room, where are bags were already delivered to.

Room. We had the ocean view fronting the marina. Room was clean and serviced every afternoon.

Staff, We were already prepared the resort is understaffed. Getting a drink at the bar can have a queue. Just be patient for all staff do try their best to provide their best service. Everyone are very nice and happy.

Breakfast. We enjoyed the breakfast area next to the living reef aquarium. With COVId, buffet is served by staff that took a few days of getting used to. Food was good overall.

Lunch and Dinner. Our all time favourite is Infinity. You will need to book early for they tend to get booked out. They also have the seafood buffet on Saturdays. Reception can help with your bookings.

Activites. Jetski is highly recommended. We also book a red boat tour and went to whitehaven beach and snorkelling. Snorkelling was very memorable for we saw plenty of large fishes. Over by the south beach is where the resort water activities are. Highly recommend to try their hobby-cat, wind permitting. Also whilst swimmng in lovers cove beach, check if the tides are north, south etc. We got stung by stingers -- although not harmful but was uncomfortable for a few days!

Overall, our trip was very memorable thanks to All friendly Staff, the living reef and how beautiful the resort was. Hope to be back in the future.

We have traveled a lot, both internationally and domestically.
We love DayDream and all it has to offer. We have been several times and can not fault anything. The staff, food, facilities, the value for money, and just the ambiance makes it special.
The staff need to be completely congratulated.
Paul, the Operations Manager, was even clearing dishes at breakfast time.
Service starts from the top.
Congratulations to all.
A very special experience.
Thank you all.

Would be nice if they let the lifesavers sit down rather than stand for eight hours. Seems kinda mean. I was told that the Gm Dawson Zang won’t let them have a chair. Surely it wouldn’t but to have a chair. Perhaps a high chair with a roof
