Hill Inlet's sand clogged waterways have been cleared by Tropical Cyclone Debbie and now is a true inlet with The Whitsundays perfect blue waters. Still a great place, just different. The swirling sands captured by photographer Ken Duncan have gone temporarily, until nature's next storm brings them back

The lagoon is beautiful, the water warm, the walk up to Hill Inlet and back takes about 30mins tiring on a very hot day. Great views on arrival at the lookout across the beautiful turquoise seas of the Whitsundays.

The blue aqua water is so clear and the sand so white great for snorkelling or just going for a dip and plenty of trees for shade

Our boat moored in Tongue Bay so we went to Whitehaven Beach via the rain forest and Hill Inlet. From the bay it was around 10 minutes walk, not strenuous but it's hot and humid and we've all emerged on the other end dripping in sweat. Make sure you carry plenty of water. There are two lookouts actually, very near... More

Simply the bluest most gorgeous water anywhere, and 7 KM of beach that will dazzle your eyes. It's the purest white silica crystalline sand you'll ever seen. Seven miles of paradise for you to explore and relish. Gorgeous swimming, even if it does drop off fairly close to shore in places. Because of the threat of bottle jellies in the... More

Short and nice trek through the jungle. You'll find many wildlife there. Including forest python, leaf cutter ants, giant orb weaver, and many more. The platform gives you a commanding view over Whitehaven beach. Which you'll get to walk on at the end of the trail. Please beware of the jelly fish season and wear a sting suit accordingly. The... We took the tour at White heaven that the trip to Hill Intel was included. 5 minutes trip from White heaven beach with a smaller boat and on the way there if you are lucky you might spot a turtle a ray or even a reef shark. The beach there is beautiful and warm and it is like a lagoon... More

I am not a fan of view points in general. I like to get close. This is a fine view for sure. But the beach is the place and so close. I would skip it and spend time at the beach instead. But that's just me.

I didn't struggle much with the walk but some others did hurt their feet in thongs. That would be easily avoided if you were careful though! The view is just amazing. Don't miss this.
