Short interesting trip

Went on the Popeye 2 with my grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It doesn't take long and you can go from the park to the zoo and back and listen to the driver telling... read more

River cruises and open top buses are often a good way for a visitor to see a city. The Popeye is clearly a bit of a local institution so thought it worth a ride. It was a lovely day but relatively quiet so there was only about six of us on the trip. The driver kindly offered a discounted rate... More

Was hoping for a detailed history of Adelaide, but instead we were told names of some buildings and bridges. Should have turned around before the river became littered with rubbish. Boring and not worth the time or money.

A very relaxing cruise of the Torrens river, with a great commentary by the vessel operator, you can get off at the Adelaide zoo and later get back on the vessel, it is a 40 minute interesting cruise and is great value for concession card holders, beautiful views of the river area.

Went on the Popeye 2 with my grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We took the 30 minute river cruise and it was nice and peaceful. This is something to do in between attractions to rest your feet and enjoy the ride.

Having moved away from my hometown of Adelaide 3 years ago, this was a lovely way to enjoy the afternoon, reminiscing with my own kids and seeing how the city has changed in such a short time. Tour went for approx 40 mins. Would definitely recommend this :)

I really want to rate this higher, to be honest I have walked family and friends from interstate and overseas along the River Torrens, and it's hard to 'wow' people here. Having said that, the tour could be 5 stars if the driver was more enthusiastic about talking more on Adelaide city, the wildlife, getting the customers involved in trying... More

The Popeye boats have been an Adelaide institution for a long time - its a great ways to relax and see the river torrens precinct. The new developments past the arts centre, the conference and exhibition centre and the medical precinct make it better than ever. a great family activity

We enjoyed an informative trip along parts of the River Torrens. Our guide was most knowledgeable of the region. We saw some amazing buildings including the Adelaide Oval. This is a definite for all ages and a relaxing meander along the river. I definitely recommend it!

Yes, it's a nice little, 40 min cruise down the river. It was a Sunday n very quiet and the skipper was decidedly scant on the commentary on our cruise. I've been on other river cruises so perhaps I've been spoiled with informative, comical, interesting, historical, current details that left me fascinated. I was bored on this cruise
