Great for watching footy and cricket but not soccer. The stadium looks fantastic especially at night. Food and drinks are far too expensive.

We had a wonderful guide in Cathryn, who was very passionate about everything. Extremely knowledgeable. From old to new, all very well explained, there was a lot of humour and 90 minutes flew buy and, finally, she updated us with the score from Waca(Steve Smith...More

I am not a cricket fan but still found this tour excellent. The guide I had has been showing people around for years. You get to walk around the building .. two highlights for me, going inside the historic manual scoreboard and then going inside...More

No sport at Adelaide Oval during my visit so I took the 90 minute stadium tour. There were 8 of us in the group and Graeme and Pam were very knowledgeable tour guides. Highlights for me were going inside the old scoreboard, walking down the...More

Oval ground is very near the city centre so is easy to walk to if staying in hotels near the centre. Magnificent impressive venue. Great views from most areas of ground. Easy access, good catering facilities including bars serving alcohol. Staff well organised and friendly...More

Fantastic venue to watch cricket and Aussie Rules football. Enjoy the roof walk if you dare. Food outlets and hospitality facilities are excellent. I particularly liked the way the old score board, grassy bank and fig trees have been retained in the redevelopment of the...More

1st day of the recent Ashes Test Match, full house sold out, nearly 60,000. Unfortunately the day night Test (whoever thought this was a good idea must be crackers!) was freezing, chillier than Headingley on a cold evening. Plenty of freezing cold beer, could you...More

The recently redeveloped Adelaide Oval is a sporting Mecca for Cricket and Australian Rules Football. One of the nice touches is the integration of the old with the new. The retention of the old scoreboard and the Victor Richardson Gates are two iconic parts of...More

It's massive and you can only judge it against other stadiums, but it's got a reasonable selection of food and drink, good views, you can walk to the grass banks and the old scoreboard, it has a Don Bradman museum (free), you're in shade, and...More

First time at the Adelaide Oval and was super impressed. I'd like to come back but get an entry to the SACA which looks inviting.

Hi there. I think your best bet might be to contact the SACA for that one. You can contact them here (08) 8300 3800. I am sure they will tell when the shade comes out.

Simple mate - THE HILL just under the scoreboard !! It is perhaps the most atmospheric part of the ground and many a member of the Barmy Army has been there and can tell a tale !

Yep you can stay in Glenelg. Its a beachside suburb and you can stay at the Grand. Its about a 20 min tram ride into the city. You can also stay at one or 2 of the city hotels also.
