Self guided tour of the mine was good cos you can go at your own pace. Was interesting seeing the rooms etc underground and how people lived down there. Very informative and def well worth the admission price. Very helpful staff also. Also visit the...More

Did the self guided tour and it was very interesting. A really good display and the kifs stayed intetested. Reasonably priced Afterwards did some “noodling” in their rock pit and found some chips of opal with some nice specks. The kids 10, 14 & 17...More

This is a short walk from the centre of town and worth the effort to get there even on foot. Lots to see and very reasonably priced.

We visited the Old Timers Mine for a self guided tour. Very well organised and easy to follow guide. Recreations of the conditions in a typical mine were excellent. Not at all claustrophobic!

Agree with the time allowed to visit the Old Timers Mine, but please contact Duncan at the Visitor Centre for everything else to do in and around Coober Pedy its worth the effort !! 08 8672 4617 or 1800 637 076
