Really enjoyed this unique little church. Interesting pastor who told great stories. So interesting what different symbols meant and so on

I'd imagine the acoustics would be good for a choir, but it was not as spectacular, visually as the Serbian Orthodox Church around the road a bit.

This church is amazing as it is cxut out of the hill not by hand but machine. It is the way it is cut that is unreal by several bores being done to create a half circle all the way across the roof so no supports are needed.

Lovely church. Worth going to see. Nice and cool and free to go into. Go see it even if your not religious.

This was my favourite church in Coober Pedy due to its simple and unassuming character. We spoke to the kind pastor who explained the history behind the church beginnings.

This is a genuinely free activity and it's a nice touch. It has windows to the outside on one side . But worth a visit

Looks like a cave dug out by the happy clappy brigade. Horrid plastic chairs inside do nothing for the ambience.

We walked in the door on a Monday and were met by the priest. He was delighted to point out some of the features and even some of the best ways to take the photos. Has a lovely atmosphere and seems still well used,

When I decide to visit a place, it isn't to read the description on the wall or take pictures but it is to grasp the atmosphere of the place by encountering the locals and sharing with them. Val welcomed us warmly in the catacomb church and made us have the best time! I am sorry I didn't think of donating... More
