In the heart of Coober Pedy, this opal mine and museum has it all. A great underground complex with informative staff who can share specific details about the town and how opal mining is done! A must visit!

This site includes a mine, a museum and a demonstration home dugout, all of which is well worth seeing. The explanations provided for each give the visitor a really good understanding of how and why this town was created.
